Obituary For Mother Pearlene Cason Williams

Mother Pearlene Cason Williams was born on November 19, 1939, in Thomas County, Georgia, to the late Clarence and Emmaline Thompson Cason. She spent her early years in Brooks County, Georgia, and was educated in the Brooks County school system. She was a dedicated farm worker. She was a faithful member of the Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was Mother of the Church and a member of the choir. She served faithfully until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, George Williams, Sr.; two sons, George Jr. and Paul Williams; two grandchildren, Shakelia and Paul Williams, Jr.; three brothers and eight sisters; and two sons-in-law, Reverend Charles Day and Deacon Floyd Daniels.

She leaves a loving family to cherish and honor her memories: her daughters, Mrs. Patricia Day of Valdosta, GA, Mrs. Emma Daniels, Mrs. Tangelia Smith (Reverend Roscoe Smith) of Pavo, GA, and Mrs. Lisa Sneed (Stanley Sneed) of Thomasville, GA; two bonus daughters, April Williams and Gloria Bridges; grandchildren, Reomeka Johnson (Willie Joe), granddaughter who she reared as her own, Natieba Owens (Marcus), Latori Williams (Jeffery), Shundreka Nickson (Michael), Jarrod Williams (Regina), Charles Bevard (Ashley), and Roscoe Smith, Jr. (Zaporia); 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; loving sisters, Corine Sawyer of Highland Park, NJ, Emma Mae Denson, and Christine Wilson of Crescent City, FL; as well as a devoted niece, Carrie Bean; friend, Lousie Carter; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 2PM-7PM.


A celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11AM at Beulah M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Old Beulah Hill Cemetery. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the service.
