Obituary For Johnny Parrott

Johnny Parrott, a dedicated husband and father, passed away on July 8th, 2024. Born on August 15, 1950, in Greene County, Georgia, to the late William and Orange Mae Parrott. Johnny's life was marked by service, hard work, and a commitment to his family and community.

A proud graduate of F. T. Corry High School, class of 1969, Johnny's journey of service began shortly after he was drafted to the US Army. He was a proud member of the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division, specializing in parachute assault operations. He often wore a hat displaying the 82nd Airborne. While in the Army he completed his certification in aircraft maintenance, showcasing his technical expertise and dedication to his country.

After his honorable discharge, Johnny pursued further education at Athens Technical College, where he earned certifications in automotive mechanics and body-fender repair. His skills and passion for mechanics led him to a fulfilling career at North American Pipe Corporation, where he worked as an industrial mechanic for 28 years before retiring.

Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers William Parrott, Lewis Parrott, and Harry Parrott, and his sisters Ruby Jackson and Princella Daniels.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Agnes Parrott. He was the proud father of four children: Anjelette Sherry (Orinzal) Williams, Carlo (Latoya) Parrott, Johnna (Edward) Botse-Baidoo, and Damien Parrott. He was also a loving grandfather to Brandon Williams, Brian Williams, Johnna Renee Parrott, Braylen Parrott, Devin Sanders, Kwame Botse-Baidoo, Ashley Botse-Baidoo, Christopher Botse-Baidoo, and Phoenix Parrott, and a great-grandfather to Kamari Parrott.

Johnny's memory will be cherished by his sisters Jessie (Sam) Swain, Mae Lillie Alexander, Dorothy (William) Poole, Cora Fortuchang, Elnora Chester, and his brothers Keiter Parrott, Timothy Parrott, and Precious Parrott. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Johnny's life was a testament to love, hard work, loyalty, and perseverance. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to those he loved and his willingness to help those in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
