Obituary For Arlette Fountain Hill

Arlette Rose Fountain Hill, 94, of Richmond, earned her wings on July 10th, 2024. She is survived by her three daughters, Jill Turner, Chrystal A. Hill-Finney (Lauris) and Wendi Hill, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two bonus great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings Mildred Weekes, Ellalee Flowers, Hugh Fountain, Jr. and LaVerne Fountain. Her surviving siblings include Marie Fountain, Woodson Fountain (Jean) and Eulalia Morris as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

An active alumna of Armstrong High School and Virginia State University, she taught in Richmond Public Schools for over 30 years.

Viewing will be available Wednesday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday July 25 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 West Leigh St., Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Virginia State University's "Richmond Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund."

Hey Gary, My condolences to you for the loss of your aunt. She was my 6th grade teacher at J. A. Bowler Elementary School in 1958. She was also my favorite teacher and I never forgot her.
