Obituary For Mark A. Johnson

Mr. Mark A. Johnson, of Cottondale, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Yes Lord Deliverance Church of God in Christ located at 1249 Hope Drive in Chipley, Florida 32428 where Apostle David Woods is the pastor with the Reverend Freddie Tellis officiating.

Interment was in the Bethlehem Africa Methodist Church Cemetery located at 3100 Lovewood Road in Cottondale, Florida.

Mr. Johnson will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

One Son: Juwon Johnson of Cottondale, Florida

One Daughter: Sha’tarryka Lee of Chipley, Florida

One Sister: Bertha White of Cottondale, Florida

One Brother: Torrance Johnson of Cottondale, Florida

Granddaughter: Alayah Johnson of Duden, Florida

Grandson: Marquis Lee of Chipley, Florida

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

I first met Mark(Little Bear)in 1975 at the tender age of 13. I grew up in Alford,FL(6 miles away) & attended Alford School where I proudly played all sports until transferring to Cottondale High. l met Mark the first day of school at football tryouts/practice. He had a smile so bright it was infectious & all the guys gravitated to his positive & happy personality🤗 During those years we spent countless days together& grew closer & closer playing sports daily & laughing at his jokes. He was a special person & I have always been proud to call him family. RIP my Brother ❤️🤗
