Obituary For Andrew Lewis Rogers

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Andrew Lewis Rogers, 61, of Stillmeadow Rd., Axton, VA transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at SOVAH Health-Danville. He was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on July 9, 1963, to the late James Robertson and Lula Rogers.

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ned Robertson and Glenn Robertson; stepmother, Pearl Robertson

Andrew was a member of Reach Out Apostolic Church. He was employed by Abbott Laboratories, Altavista, VA.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Cheryl Stockton Rogers of the home; three sisters, Luella Anderson (Carol) of Chatham, VA, Sylvia Brown (Michael) of Pittsville, VA and Ophelia Wright of Gretna, VA; four brothers, Lindy Rogers (Danier) of Axton, VA, James L. Robertson (Odelia), Harry Robertson (Amanda), Robert Robertson (Veronica) all of Pittsville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle, 225 Brenda Dr., Axton, VA with Bishop Lorenzo Hall, Eulogist. Interment will follow at New Ridgeway United Methodist Church, 1645 Ridgeway Rd., Pittsville, VA 24139.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 2604 Stillmeadow Rd., Axton, VA. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
