Carla Renee Grey, departed this life on Saturday, July 6, 2024. She was born on February 10, 1965 to Helen Guest and Clyde Penman in Danville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Penman, brother, Stephon Penman and her bonus father Robert Lee Wilkerson.

Carla was a member of Danville High School graduating class of 1983. She earned an Associate Degree in Business from National Business College.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at First Baptist Church 2nd and Walnut, Danville, Ky. Carla, truly loved the Lord.

Carla was employed for over 20 years at Hitachi as well as six years at American Greetings.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Helen Guest; three sons, Orlando Guest (Erika Guest), Berrac Strode and Jacodi Akers; three sisters, Denita Dunn, Lisa Johnson (Gary) and Libby Parks; six loving grandchildren, Braxton, Broox, Berran, Alliver, Kai Strode and Kairi Guest; four step-children, Katelee and Blake Jones, Taylor and Dylan McKinney; aunt Barbara Walker; a niece, Porsche Dunn; three great nephews, Jalen Dunn, Javen Owens and Oakley Elmore as well as a long time companion Brent Thomas and dog, Max and a host of close cousins and friends.
