Obituary For A.B. Long, Sr.

Mr. A.B. Long, Sr. of Orlando, Florida, formerly of the Two Egg Community of Greenwood, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation in Winter Park, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church located at 3996 Wintergreen Road in Greenwood, Florida 32443 where the Reverend Kevin Williams is the pastor.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Long will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Wife: Shaffie Long of Orlando, Florida

Three Children: Donna (Mike) Harrison of Jonesboro, Georgia; A.B. (Tijuana) Long, Jr. of Melbourne, Florida and Howard Long of Orlando, Florida

One Sister: Ollie B. Bell of Greenwood, Florida

One Brother: John Henry (Barbara) Long of Donalsonville, Georgia

And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
