Obituary For Kay Forrest Wilkey Jr.

MR. KAY FORREST WILKEY, JR. – Age 88, of Calhoun, Georgia passed Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was born March 22, 1936 to his late parents; father, Kay Forrest, Sr. and mother, Vadie Ray Dixon Wilkey. He was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was self-employed for several years until his retirement. Later, he worked for St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church until his health declined. He enjoyed reading, watching baseball and wrestling, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Lue Young Wilkey; son, Tyrone Wilkey; and brothers, James Howard Wilkey and Earl Wilkey.

He survived by his loving children; Threada Pullum, Kay Forrest (Robin) Wilkey, III, Eric Wilkey, Rhonda (Robert) Wade, Greg Wilkey, Keith (Katie) Wilkey, Kevin Wilkey, and LaShawn Wilkey; a host of 20 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1:00 P. M. at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 4479 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, Georgia 30701 with Pastor Guy Gainor, Eulogist. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour. Interment; Pine Grove Cemetery.
