Richard "Dick" Everett Fletcher, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Born in Keene, New Hampshire to Glenn and Lillian (Lavalee) Fletcher, Dick lived a life marked by dedication to his family, work, and passions. As a skilled Tool and Die Maker, he found fulfillment in craftsmanship and precision, leaving a lasting impact through his work. Dick shared his background in craftsmanship with those close to him, demonstrating his passion and expertise in his field. He is survived by his two sons David and James Fletcher of Raymond, ME and West End, NC, and sister Peg Fletcher Korsu of Brooklyn, CT. He is also predeceased by his two brothers Kenneth and Edwin Rexford Fletcher.
It was upon moving to Truth or Consequences that Dick bravely confronted his fear of public speaking by attending discussion meetings, a testament to his courage and determination in personal growth, where he also became stronger in his faith and was baptized into the Catholic Church.
An avid enthusiast of ham radio, photography, woodworking, and fishing, Dick embraced life with curiosity and creativity. He and his beloved wife, Rosiland, spent their retirement traveling across the United States, enjoying many of the National Parks.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico with a Rosary starting at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Memorial Mass to celebrate Rosalind and Dick’s lives and share memories. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
