Obituary For Mr. Anthony Hough Sr.

Mr. Anthony “Tony” Lee Hough, Sr., son of the late Nathaniel Richardson and Mattie “Pat” Hasty, was born July 20, 1964, in Lilesville, NC. He transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his home in Lilesville, NC.

Anthony graduated from Bowman Sr. High School in 1982. He was employed by Circuit City, High Point, NC, and Avery Dennison, Greensboro, NC, for many years.

He was a member of Parsons Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Lilesville, NC, where he served on the Usher’s Ministry.

In September 2009, Anthony was joined in Holy Matrimony to Nina McLendon. God blessed them with 14 years of marriage.

Anthony truly loved his family and friends, and he would do anything that he could for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Nellie and James Hough.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Nina Hough, of the home; two sons, Anthony Hough, Jr., Lilesville, NC, and Jarvis Hough, High Point, NC; two grandchildren, Jordyn Hough, Lilesville, NC, and Makaylee Hough, Peachland, NC; four sisters, Annette Richardson, Wingate, NC, Tonya Hasty, Lilesville, NC, Ida Doster, Cheraw, SC, and Debbie (Roger) Hailey, Charlotte, NC; one brother, Micheal (Madalyn) Little, Greensboro, NC; four aunts, Ida Little (his beloved Ma), High Point, NC, Lillie Kearney and Gloria Colson, Baltimore, MD, and Ruby Medley, Burnsville, NC; one uncle, Rev. Robert Hough, Jr., Wadesboro, NC; his mother-in-law, Daisy McLendon, of the home; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Ensley and Melvia McLendon, Charlotte, NC; special friends, Tammy and Larry Little, Lilesville, NC, and Jacquelyn (James) Roby, Maben, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, July 7, 2024, 2:00pm, Parsons Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Lilesville, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The public viewing will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 1:00-5:00pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
