To the family of Sis Bernice, she was a neighbor to my mom Maxine Jones at Garden Springs Aptand I consider her my mom I had plenty of meals at her table and taling about Jesus and her family.I thought of her often after we moved she will truly be missed. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Aunt Mary Alice, the children/grandchildren of Ms. Bernice, siblings and other family members. The Land family lived in the neighborhood and I remembered Ms. Bernice caring for her younger siblings years ago. They relocated in the Maryland area. I was blessed to be one fortunate enough to be pampered and treated to Mother Land's delicious soul food. She was so generous and loving. Always asking about my family. When she herself may have been challenged. Mother Land could also play a pretty heated piano, which I had many opportunities to sing along with at nursing homes throughout Raleigh. Always serving and smiling. That is how I will remember her. I am so glad I had an opportunity to know, worship and play with her. May you RIP, Mother. Aunt Berniece, it's been forever since I've seen or talked to you. My dad always said, you always asked about me. Thank you for being a loving aunt to me and my sisters and helping us during our childhood years. I know you're in heaven sleeping peacefully with King Jesus!
