Marie Jean (Fallin) McEwen, 86 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Bowie, TX.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.

Marie was born December 13, 1937 in O’Donnell, TX, to Sidney and Cassie Fallin. She married Donald Wayne McEwen in Megargel, TX, on October 29, 1955. She worked at numerous jobs but her favorite was owning and operating Marie’s Coffee Shop.

Marie’s passion was going fishing and camping with the love of her life. Marie also spent a lot of time at the A.A.S.P. & R. C. arena watching friends and family compete. Marie also loved running the concession stand and visiting with people who came to the window. She also followed all of her family to all of their activities from sports to rodeo or whatever they happened to be involved in. She will be remembered as a great Mawmaw to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse Don McEwen, sister Lillian and brothers Junior, John, and Kenneth.

Marie is survived by her children Don McEwen and wife Marilyn of Charlie, Tx., Delores McEwen and partner Ray of Glenwood, AR, and Tommy McEwen and wife Jeni of Montague, TX.; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Leonard and wife Kathy, Shorty; sister Carolyn; sister-in-law Gay and husband Tom Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews.
