Obituary For Terence Lovelace

Mr. Terence "Terry" Lovelace was born February 13, 1955 in Barnesville, GA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Lucy Mac) Lovelace, Sr. Preceding him in death are two sisters - Miss Claudia Lovelace and Ms. Annie Mac Harris and four brothers - Mr. Willie Lovelace, Jr., Mr. Steve Lovelace, Mr. Eugene Harris, and Mr. Larry Lovelace.

Terry was educated at Lamar County High School, class of 1973. He was an exceptional basketball player under the leadership of Coach Oscar Wimberly. After graduation, Terry attended Gordon College on a basketball scholarship and then enlisted in the United States Army. Terry was active military for 4 years, as a SPEC4, serving stateside as well as in Germany. After his military service, Terry was employed with Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA and retired with Salad Time in Jackson, GA. Terry loved his family & friends. He was an amazing father and very proud of his children. Terry loved to travel, go fishing, and cruising with his family was always a highlight for him. Terry was a big fan of Atlanta sports teams - Braves, Hawks, and Falcons. His last Braves game featured him on the jumbotron, labeled as "Captain America", and he was a celebrity for the rest of the game. Terry was also adventurous with food and enjoyed trying new restaurants. He would watch food shows on TV then call his daughter and ask her to find a restaurant that served that cuisine.

Terry's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Severa Lovelace (Barnesville, GA); his son, Jurico D. Campbell, Sr. (Macon, GA); his daughter, Tangila E. Lovelace (Stockbridge, GA); his granddaughter, Tameshia T. Campbell (Stockbridge, GA); his grandson, Jurico D, Campbell, Jr (Carrollton, GA) 2 sisters - Cora Fambro (Barnesville, GA) and Sheila Lovelace (Stockbridge); 2 brothers - SSGT Leonard Lovelace (Barnesville, GA) and SSG Retired Kenneth (Pamela) Lovelace (Hampton, VA); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
