She was born on November 20, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Honorable James Lomax Bundy of Bluefield, West Virginia and Sarah Jane Cannon of Helena, South Carolina. Deborah attended Seton High School in Baltimore, MD. While attending Livingstone College, she met her husband, Craig Lindsay, who attended nearby Catawba College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 1978.
Deborah’s unconditional love in working with physically and intellectually disabled adults fueled her continued commitment as a member of the Direct Care Staff at Davidson County Mental Health in Lexington, NC for the 20 years and as the Developmental Disabilities Day Program Director for Therapeutic Alternative, Inc. in Lexington, NC for an additional 10 years.
