Obituary For Sandra Mae Benford Waters

Sandra Mae Benford Waters was born on February 19, 1951 in Conway, South Carolina to the late Willie Mae Dixon and the late Colden Benford. She ascended to her heavenly home to be with her loved ones and the Lord on June 18, 2024.

Mother Waters was a graduate of Pembroke High School Class of 1969. She was an educator who graduated with an associate degree in childhood development from Indian River Community College on January 1, 1986.

Mother Waters was raised in the church and was a faithful Sunday School teacher and attended Church of God by Faith, New Birth Apostolic Church as well as Church of God for All People. While on this journey she received accreditations, awards and many rewards. She was a prayer warrior who prayed for everyone. She loved to knit, she was a collector of items; she was a great cook and baker.

Mother Waters was married to the late Willie Lee Waters of Fort Pierce, Florida and to union were three daughters: Keesha Waters Hooper, Timeeko Waters (deceased) and Ebony Waters (deceased) and three grandchildren: Ahyanna Griffith, Drevion Waters and Colden Waters.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Colden Benford, Charlie Benford, Harvey Dixon and Gerald Manner.

She leaves to cherish one sister, Crystal Greene; two uncles, James Dixon and Michael Dixon; sisters-in-law, Melinda Benford, Wendelin Dixon, Tammy Manner, Debra (James) Mincey and Patricia Gilchrist; brothers-in-law, Rodney Johnson and Calvin Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews and loving relatives.

Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 am Monday, June 24, 2024, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 24, 2024 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: Maplewood Cemetery, 504 S. Smith Street in Clayton, NC.

I feel so lost without out her powerful words Mother Waters was my mother and my go to when I needed someone ALWAYS! I found out this Sunday and I am hurt and in full disbelief. I know the Lord knows best but it hurts and I don't understand...We always told each other we love each other and meaned it!
