Obituary For Roosevelt Garrett, Sr.

Mr. Roosevelt Garrett, Sr. of Bristol, Florida was called to his heavenly home on the morning of June 16, 2024 in Calhoun-Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Florida.

Mr. Garrett was a member of the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Blountstown, Florida. He was an ordained Deacon. Mr. Garrett was a well of wisdom and loved his family. To know him was to love him.

Services to celebrate and honor Roosevelt’s life will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11 AM CST from the sanctuary of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church located at 16345 SE River Street in Blountstown, Florida with Pastor Dr. C.L. Wilson officiating.

The visitation will take place at Vann Funeral Home in Marianna, Florida, on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST.

The interment will take place in Magnolia Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida.

He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved sister, Alcernelious Garrett, of Minneapolis, Minnesota

Six (6) loving children, Mildred G. Battle (Brent) of Blountstown, Florida, Bernestine G. Jordan (Kenny) of Winter Springs, Florida, Curtis L. Garrett, of Blountstown, Florida, Valerie Snowden (Greg) of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Lynett G. Smith (Carl) of Lilburn, Georgia, and Recio D. Garrett, (Felicia) of Blountstown, Florida.

His many stories and catch phrases will be forever remembered and repeated by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
