Obituary For Mary Lucile Matthews

Mary Lucille, a beloved member of the Thomaston community, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024. Born and raised in Thomaston, she attended Upson High School. Mary Lucille’s life was a testament to her deep love for the Lord, her passion for fashion, and
her unwavering dedication to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, loving and devoted parents Sylvia and James Womble. Four children: Shakera Price, Sharaine Furlow, Ashley Matthews, and Reginald Matthews, Jr. all of Thomaston, GA. Five granddaughters: Sha’ree Willis, Arainna Atwater, Amaria Atwater, Ja’Niyah Mathews, and Ameena Matthews. Three grandsons: Navadius Price, Josiah Matthews, and Jordan Matthews. One Sister: LaSongia Womble, and Two Brothers: Adrian Baker, Tabias Smith all of Thomaston, GA. Aunts and Uncles: Leatha (Walter, Sr.) Powell (Decatur, GA), Ella Crafter (Snellville, GA), Marjorie Crafter, Evg. Sandra Gates, Rev. Doniyce (Rev. Robert) Chatman, all of
Thomaston, GA. Cheryl (Michael) Walker (Griffin, GA), and Louise Womble (Thomaston GA). One Uncle: George Crafter (Newman, GA). Two nephews: Devontae Smith of Thomaston, GA and Adrian Tyree Baker of Columbus, GA. Friends like family - Monique Raymond, Stephanie Pope, Elaine Walker, and Yolanda Colbert-Sneed. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who mourn her passing.
