Obituary For Maxine Elmore Mallett

Maxine Elmore Mallett, daughter of the late George “Tic” Adams and Ruthie Wigley Adams was born on May 28, 10949, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Maxine was the 4th of 5 children. Her siblings, George Tic (Allie B) Adams II, John (Lula) Adams, and Brenda Adams, all of Cleveland, Ohio preceded her in death.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and became a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active and faithful until her health declined. She attended Buffalo Elementary and Tipton High School. Maxine worked for Kosciusko School District where she worked relentlessly as a bus driver and substitute teacher.

Maxine was married to Ernest Elmore and from that union 3 children were born: Anthony Adams of Jackson, MS, Rickey Elmore of Cleveland, OH, and a beautiful infant daughter, Monica Elmore, who preceded her in death.

Maxine later married Jessie Mallett and from that union 3 children were born: Anthony Adams of Jackson, MS, Rickey Elmore of Cleveland, OH, and a beautiful infant daughter, Monica Elmore, who preceded her in death.

Maxine later married Jessie Mallett and from this union 4 children were born: Roshelle (Rickey) Noel, Kelly Mallett & Jessica Mallett all of Kosciusko, MS and Brenica (Rodrekex) Dotson of Pearl, MS. She also leaves a bonus son, Jessie Love of Sallis, MS.

Maxine leaves behind a husband of 55 years, 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a special goddaughter, one sister: Vivian Owens of Toledo, OH; 4 sister-in-laws: Dicie Levy and Dorothy Rathell of Milwaukee, WI, Allie B. and Lula Adams of Cleveland, Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

PLACE OF SERVICE: Mt. Zion M.B. Church, Kosciusko, MS

DATE OF SERVICE: Saturday 06/22/2024 at 12:00 p.m.

INTERMENT: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Kosciusko, MS
