Obituary For Mrs. Gwendolyn O'Neal

Mrs. Gwendolyn O'Neal passed on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1301 Alamance Church Road. The visitation will begin at 10 am and the service will follow at 11 am. The burial will be on Saturday, June 22 at 12 noon at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Kittrell, North Carolina, 810 Walter Grissom Road. There will be a Wake on Thursday, June 20 from 6-7 pm in the Cassie Coote Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral.

To the family of, Dr. Gwen O'Neal. She was a gifted, powerhouse, gracious leader and mentor, while serving as the first African American department head leading the department of Interior Design & Fashion Studies in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Kansas State University-Manhattan, KS. She also served as the Interim Pastor of our beloved Pilgrim Baptist Church, in Manhattan. She has done great work, had a beautiful spirit and created a lasting, remarkable legacy.
