Obituary For Sara Stephens

Sara Frances Stephens was born to the late Eugene Hadley and the late Alice Davis in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

She was educated in the Harrisburg School District, graduating from the former William Penn High School. She furthered her education, graduating from Thompson Institute.

Sara was employed at the Commonwealth of PA, Department of Public Welfare, retiring with 30 years of Service.

She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching sports and CNN.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Sara Frances Stephens passed from this earthly life into eternal life in the peace and love of her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulyssess (Steve); her brother, Ivy “Butch” Chambers and her sister, Betty Chambers and leaves to cherish precious memories of her, her sons, Aaron (Naomi) and Larry (Frenesi); her 8 grandchildren, Shawnte, Tajuana, Sarah, Adrianna, Eugene, Denisha, La’Camrey and Demetrius; her 9 great grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Williams (Woodsey) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
