Obituary For Annie Gail Harvey

Annie Gail Harvey, daughter of the late Mable Bobbitt Smith and Lewis Allen Smith, was born on March 2, 1960, in Richmond, Virginia. Gail entered into eternal rest on June 15, 2024, at her home in Raleigh, NC. Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Harvey.

Gail graduated from Garner Senior High in 1979. Gail joined Juniper Level Baptist Church at an early age. Gail worked at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC, for over 23 years. After Gail retired, she devoted her time to her family. Gail was very athletic and loved playing softball until she was in her mid-thirties. Gail loved her family, and she enjoyed cooking, making Christmas ornaments, and going out of town. On the way home, she would grab a Powerball ticket.

To cherish her memories, she leaves her two children, Tyrell Harvey (Tanetta) of Raleigh, NC, and Whitney Harvey of the home; five grandchildren, Osharri Harvey, Sharell Harvey, Tyrell Harvey, Jr., Zenaz Harvey, and Rozalyn Harvey; one special nephew who was like a son, Jonathan Elliott; four children, Tanayzha Elliott, Breckiya Hunter, Azariya Elliott, and Ja’Shiyah Elliott; four greatgrandchildren; one brother, Harvey Jackson; one sister, Annette Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Harvey and Joann Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gail was a great and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved the Lord, and she will be truly missed.

Visitation: 9:30 - 10:00 am Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. James Apostolic Church in Raleigh, NC 27610.

Funeral will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. James Apostolic Church, 701 Bart Street in Raleigh, NC 27610.

Burial: Starlight Memorial Gardens, Lois Lane in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
