Obituary For Marvin Lee Palmer

Mr. Marvin Lee Palmer, 82, of Lexington, was born on September 22, 1941 to the late Okee Hood and Pearl Louise Palmer. Marvin peacefully passed away on June 12, 2024 at Quiet Oaks Healthcare Center in Crawford, GA.

Marvin was born and raised in Oglethorpe County, GA and graduated from Oglethorpe County High School. He loved to hunt, fish, farm, and play with his grandchildren. He was employed by Yellow Freight as a truck driver and was a longstanding member of the local 728 Teamsters union.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alice Brenda Palmer; his children: Deanna Palmer, Barbara Ann Kidd-Allen, and Kimberly Ann Palmer; grandchildren, Tyler Lee Allen and Ethan Stone Allen; great grandchild, McKinley Allen, all of whom he loved dearly.

Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Lee Palmer, Jr.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2:00PM at Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church located at 389 Stephen's Grove Church Rd., Lexington, GA 30648, with Minister Tracy Allen, officiating.

Viewing will be held two hours prior to service time from 12:00PM - 2:00PM.

Barrett Funeral Home Oglethorpe have been entrusted with final arrangements.
