Lamar R. Wilson entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the age of 57. He was a 1984 graduate of Istrouma High School and was employed for over 10 years at Magnolia Mound Plantation. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Attorney Chanda E. Reams; daughter, Cierra Jayell Wilson; mother, Carol B. Wilson; siblings, Lathrice, Josie, and Roy Patrick Wilson (Tamaika); aunts, Israel “Bonnie” Degree of Lansing, Michigan, and Gloria Ferguson; uncles, Pastor Gerald Boatner (Sandra) and Charles Wilson (Wanda) of Jacksonville, Florida, a niece, Amber Wilson and four nephews, Ar’Mon, Darius, Patrick and Isaiah Wilson; one Godchild, Lyrick Davis and a great nephew, Rashad Todd, Jr.
Lamar is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilson, Sr.; grandmother, Ivory Boatner; mother-in-law, Lucy Reams; aunts, Shirley Boatner and Ruth Ann Terrell; uncles, Israel Boatner, Jr., James “Sonny” Harris and Gregory Boatner. Visitation on Saturday June 15, 2024 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 575 Education Street, Baton Rouge, LA 10:00 am until religious service at 11:00 am. Interment Southern Memorial Gardens.
