It was with deepest sorrow that Lavender's Funeral Service announced the passing of Dedicated Pine Grove Baptist Church Deacon and Outstanding Pickens County High School Educator & Coach, DEACON IKE GIPSON, 66 of Aliceville, Alabama. Deacon Gipson succumbed on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL

PUBLIC VISITATION for Deacon Ike Gipson was Friday, June 14. 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender's Funeral Service.

THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Deacon Ike Gipson of Aliceville, Alabama was Saturday, June 15, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, 2463 Franconia Road in Aliceville, Alabams.The body of Deacon Gipson was in state in the church one hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT immediately followed the service in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 9654 Highway 14, in Aliceville, Alabama. Reverend Marcus Wright is The Pastor of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Reverend Tonnie Jones, Pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church was The Eulogist.

I worked next door to coach Gipson while at Pickens County High School. He and I were also fellow veterans. I will truly miss his wisdom and the kindness he showed me while there at PCHS.
