Obituary For Stanley Griffin

Stanley Renard Griffin, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother transitioned on May 23, 2024, in Atlanta, GA, surrounded by his loving family.

Born to Cazzie Griffin and Rosa Kate (Benton) Griffin in Pompano Beach, FL on December 12, 1956, Stanley brought Joy, love, and goodwill to all who knew him.

Stanley was a man of many trades; building boats, selling fish, and butchering in his younger years. His skillful hands and keen mind made him a respected figure.

But above all, his dedication to family, unwavering faith, and deep love for God will ring in our hearts forever.

Throughout his journey, Stanley shared his life with his beloved wife, Geneva Griffin, in Quitman, GA.

Their bond was a testament to true love and partnership. Together, they raised a beautiful family, instilling values of love, respect, and faith in their children: Samantha (Craig) Erskine of Hampton, TA; Quinton (Ashley) Griffin of Valdosta, GA; Darceny Griffin of Quitman, GA; Corey (Elizabeth) Lafave of Gainesville, FL, Stanley Jr. (Michelle) Griffin; Sonja (Dontrae) of Valdosta, GA; Ya'el Bat Yosef of Jacksonville, FL.

He is preceded in death by siblings Walter Jones, Hattie Jones, Lester Jones, Edith Cooper, Yvonne Wise, Will-Lee Griffin, Jessie-Lee Joyce, Dan Griffin, Katie Daniels, Nathaniel Griffin, Sylvester Griftin, Rosetta Johnson, James Griffin, Mercy Williams (James), and Cazzie Griffin, Jr. He leaves siblings: Eloise Edwards and Lena Bailey of Boston, MA, Barbara Daughtry and Christine Wiley of Georgia and Rosetta Johnson and Mercy Williams of Massachusetts.

Stanley's legacy continues through his grandchildren, who will always remember his infectious laughter, his wise counsel, and the warmth of his embrace.

He will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, lived joyfully, and honored his commitments with unwavering principles.

A service to celebrate Stanley's life in His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Rest in peace, Stanley Renard Griffin. Your legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire and guide us.
