Nicholas Goolsby, 39 of Statesville, NC passed Friday, May 24, 2024. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Baileytown Christian Church, 1163 Baileytown Ch. Rd., Walnut Cove, NC, with The “Celebration of Life” beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Nicholas (Nic) Goolsby was born on June 18, 1985 to Linda Price Goolsby (mother) and George Harold Goolsby, Jr. (father). He departed this life on Friday, May 24, 2024.
Nicholas joined Baileytown Christian Church and was baptized at an early age. He attended Stokes County public schools and graduated from South Stokes High School where he played basketball and football. After graduating Nic worked at various jobs, Hanes, Food Lion, Old Navy, Reynolds and Weil Mclain as a boiler tester.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George H. Goolsby, Sr., Clara Goolsby and Leonard Price.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents; George and Linda Goolsby of Walnut Cove, NC. Two daughers; Noelle Grace Goolsby of the home, and Zada Goolsby of Eden,NC. One son; Nicholas Goolsby, Jr. of Eden, NC. Grandparent; Betty Price, Walnut Cove, NC. One brother; Brian Hairston, High Point, NC, three sisters; Stephanie Goolsby, Walnut Cove, NC, Sherry Searcy, Winston Salem, and Andora Goolsby, Kernersville, NC. Six paternal aunts; Irene Smith, Fannie (Al) Spain, Wanda culbreath, Clara (Terrance) Paige, Jane Price and Virginia Price. Seven paternal uncles; Issac Goolsby, Raymond (Julie) Goolsby, Timothy (Ramona) Goolsby, David Goolsby, Ezra (Angela) Price, Dalton (Gail) Price and Maurice (Tina) Price. Special uncle, Jimmy Thomas and honorary uncle, John Simmons. Two great aunts, Nellie and Margaret Simmons. Two great uncles, Barry and Johnny Kelley, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
