MSgt (ret) Sanders truly was a blessing and mentor to the cadets of Grambling State University Detachment 311 Flying Tigers! The Lord's of Discipline Drill Team was his program, as he ensured the cadets were precise, sharp, as they proudly represented The Detachment 311 AFROTC program. They traveled and performed all over world. Just in Louisiana included Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans to the famous Grambling State University vs Southern University's Bayou Classic, and multiple Veterans and graduation events. MSgt Sanders led and inspired our cadets to be great and the "best of the best." We will miss him, but were blessed to have met him as he pushed us to be great Air Force Officers, who care about others and strive for excellence. Sending Hugs, Prayers, and Comfort Blessings to the Sanders Family! On behalf of Grambling State University, Detachment 311, Flying Tigers Blessings, Colonel Anquenetta Blount GSU Class of 2000

My condolences to the family of Bennie. Bennie played Trombone in the band with us at Bellingrath and Lanier. It was always my goal to beat Bennie because he was always one of the best. What a guy. I pray God's blessings on the family. Anthony Williams and family
