Obituary For Latanga Brown Kirk

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Latange Kirk, who departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2024, will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Shipp's Funeral Home Chapel, Sylvester, GA. Latanga Brown Kirk was born on December 11, 1956 in Worth County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Eunice Manuel and Mr. John Horsley.

Latanga was affectionately known to many as “Tan”. Tan began her education in the Worth County Georgia School System. She began and ended her career as a Seamstress, retiring from Sylvester Textile.

At an early age, she turned her life over to God and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Later in life, she moved her membership to Greater New Bethel.

Tan departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2024, in Sylvester, Georgia

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories in the hearts of her two daughters: Shekinah (Charlie) Brown of Sylvester, GA, and Alicia (Michael) Roberts of Jacksonville FL; four grandsons: Jatavious “Tay” Brown, Michael Roberts, Jr, Kobey Small and My’Kel Roberts; six sisters, Cherry Cheevers, Shirley Heard, Valentina (Jesse) Peavy all of Sylvester, GA, Sharon (Jose’) Roquemore of Albany, GA, Yancey (Johnny) Stephens of Putney, GA. Louise Lamar of Fayetteville, GA; six brothers, Ellis Brown of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Milton Brown of Kathleen, GA, Sandus Manuel, Sr., Milford “Ronnie” Brown, Reginald (Sandra) Manuel, and Carl (Brandy) Manuel of Sylvester, GA. A special friend, Mr. John D. Kirk of Poulan GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
