Obituary For Louise D. Gladney

Louise Dodd Gladney was the 2nd child born to the late Ammie (Patrick) and Veto Dodd on September 23, 1936, in Kosciusko, MS. On Jume 5, 1960, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Zeather A. Gladney. This union was blessed with two sons. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and three of her siblings, Vera Mae Greenlee, James Dodd and Carrie Mae Hinton.

Louise was educated in the Attala County school system and graduated from Attala County Training Center in 1955. Although she worked, her family was always a priority. She always made sure her family had delicious homemade meals everyday. She also enjoyed her volunteer work at Helping Hands.

A lot of her time was spent enjoying the Buffalo United Methodist Church family, in Sunday School services and revivals. When visiting her children, she worshipped at both Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in TX and Move of God Deliverance in GA. She spent hours studying the Holy Scripture. She loved her plants & gardening. She enjoyed cooking and baking (if you know you know). She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister: Nina Pearl Huddleston; two sons: Zeather Nelson (Alicia) Gladney of Houston, TX, Lyle David Gladney (Tawanna) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren: Gabrielle D. Gladney of Chicago, IL, Deyanna JJ Gladney & Lyle JJ Gladney of Marietta, GA; sisters-in-law: Ora Gladney of Kosciusko, MS, Pearlie Davis & Allie Harmon of Long Beach, CA, Willie Gladney of Tupelo, MS, Callie Gladney of Saginaw, MI, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends & extended family.
