Mrs. Janice Frazier Horne, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Janice Frazier Horne was born on September 8, 1956, in Leaksville, NC now Eden, NC to Luther Frazier and Lucy Frazier. She departed her earthly life on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Wesley Long Hospital surrounded by her family. Janice was a 1974 graduate of Grimsley High School. She served her country in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1978 at MacDill Air Force base in Tampa, Florida. Janice and her family joined Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Greensboro, NC in the early 1990’s. She loved the Lord and worked faithfully in the ministry. Janice worked as a nurse and assisted with transportation. She did whatever her hands found to do in other ministries of the church. She had a loving and kind spirit. Jan was a Pillar of Strength for her family and was loved and respected. She did not allow illnesses to define her. She used her journey as a Testament to her faith. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, family gatherings, and time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and family.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lucy Frazier; son, Tavares Horne, a sister, Pattie Donnell; brothers Elroy Scales, David Frazier and Jasper Frazier.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 47 years Kilroy (Dee) Horne; son Rodney Horne; two sisters Bretta Edwards of Stone Mountain, GA and Lucia (Bonnie) Seagroves of Greensboro, NC; three brothers Kevin Frazier (Lisa), Mitchell Frazier (Sheila), and Jeffrey Frazier each of Greensboro, NC. Also, left to cherish her memory grandchildren Jaden Horne, Aamiya Horne and twins Rodney Jr. and Raina Horne, two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 11:30 am Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 11am Visitation. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery Greensboro, North Carolina.

I can not believe aunt Jan is gone. I have so many vivid memories of her and my mom laughing and joking with each other, while I played with Rodney and Tavares. Those memories will last for the rest of my life! My wife and I will continue to pray for both of you, Rodney and uncle Dee. Earth has no pain that heaven can't heal. To the Horne family, my brother/friend Rodney, I wish i could do something to take your pain away. I met Mrs.Horne a couple of years ago and she was such a wonderful person and inspirational to me. We would chat and text and share words of encouragement to each other. I will surely miss her.
