Ed was one of my favorite Managers when I worked in Ft. Lauderdale. We worked together at Davie and he was instrumental in getting me a detail so I could further my career. He was kind, honest, always willing to teach and to nurture. When I remember him I always have great thoughts of him. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Sincerely, Michelle Costa

I was saddened to hear this, Jonesy and I worked together many years in the Ft Lauderdale PO's. He was a great guy to work with. He took care of folks and was a great boss. Many laughs were had some hard days too but he was rock solid for us all. Even though many years have passed since we last spoke and laughed together I will always remember the friendship and comradeship we had. RIP my brother!

In loving memory of Edward. It was so nice when Edward came back home to live where he grew up. After so many years of being away you, as well as myself, came back to the neighborhood and became neighbors and were able to connect again over these past few years. I will miss our conversations and how we were the neighborhood watchers in our community. Rest in peace. The Williams Family

Dear Lord Jesus, as Edward rests in Your presence, we are thankful and grateful for the gift of life you gave us for 68 years. The matchless gift of Joy and Peace in the One who was the same each and every day! That was Edward Jr. Edward talked so often about his experiences in Ft. Lauderdale, the good friends he and his wife, Gail, met and bonded with. He talked about his childhood memories and the pleasures he experienced on Bunche Street. We, the Bunche Street family, know how loquacious Edward was. He could talk the hard out of a rock! But in his last months on this earth, he talked about the terrible pain he was in. Lord, thank you for taking away his pain ! His smiles, conversations, and his " do anything for you helpful spirit" will always remain in our hearts. I pray that he is resting with you, Lord, in Your Heavenly Home. Thank you for Edward's supportive family members who supplied his every need. Please give the Jones family Your guidance and strength as they prepare for the last acts of love and kindness for Edward Jr. The Bunche Street family will miss him dearly. Rest in peace Edward "Eagle" Jones, Jr. Love, The Tann-Taylor Family, your next door Bunche Street neighbors.

Family, Please accept my condolences in the loss of Mr. Edward Jones, Jr. May these few words of sympathy and recollection help, in part, to ease the burden that you bear and the sadness in your and our hearts. Edward, Jr. (as we knew him) was our next door neighbor, friend and Bunche Street brother. I will always remember the times (when we were young) that we moved in and out of each other's houses. Memory takes me to the barbecues and backyard games that we shared. I'll remember him as a young child playing with Nifty, their 3-legged dog. The excitement we shared at the birth of his sister and my Godsister, Lisa, is etched in my memory bank. As a young man, he made his way to college and pursued a career. I'll also remember the lunches, conversations and reminiscences he, Gail and I shared after he moved back to Valdosta during the past few years. I light a candle in remembrance of the life of our neighbor/brother and friend. BB (Annie Beatrice Tann Woods)
