Dr. Gregory L. Myers

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, Dr. Gregory Lee Myers, 52, of Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, VA, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. He was born August 1, 1971, in Martinsville Virginia, to Hollie C. Myers, and the late Annette Keen Myers. In addition to his mother, Gregory was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Keen, paternal grandparents Ora and Fletcher Myers Sr., and son G'Mitrious Ravon Myers.

Greg was a graduate of Laurel Park High School class of 1989. He went on to further his education by receiving an associate's in Applied Science Degree with a major in Information Systems Technology and a Specialization in Networking from Patrick & Henry Community College. He was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle in High Point, NC, under the leadership of pastors Dr. Ronald L. Diggs, and Joyce Diggs.

Greg received an honorary Doctorate in Barbering in 2015, from Miracle University. He was a Master Barber Instructor and owner at Ladies & Gents Beauty and Barber Center in Martinsville, VA.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Dr. Catherine Branch Myers of the home his soulmate married for 27 years out 34 years of being together; his father, Hollie C. Myers of Axton, VA; son JaQuion Moss, Martinsville, VA; daughters G'Miya Myers and Cedejah Myers of Martinsville, VA; one granddaughter, Nova Hairston Moss of Martinsville, VA; two brothers, Holly B. Myers (Edna) of Stafford, VA, and Corey W. Myers (Robin) of Fayetteville, NC; maternal grandmother, Ressie Tarpley Keen of Callands, VA; and godchildren Charity Thomas-Hunt, Makayla Hairston, and Kyra Hairston, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. with the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Refuge Temple Ministries, Bishop-elect Alan Preston pastor, 205 Clearview Dr., Martinsville, VA with Dr. Ronald L. Diggs, Eulogist. The burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park, 18960 A.L. Philpott Hwy, Spencer, VA.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the residence, 2581 Joseph Martin Hwy., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. daily.
