Ethel Amelia King Battle, 89, of Richmond, died May 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Battle; daughter, Carolyn L. Cooley-Battle and son, Everette E. Battle. Surviving are her daughter, Gwendolyn Y. "Wendy" Battle; granddaughter, Charisse N. Cooley; great grandson, Alonzo L. Bynum II; sister, Blanche Jones; brother-in-law, Phillip E. Battle; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Wednesday, May 15 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 12 noon. Thursday, May 16 at Scott's Chapel. Rev. Brenda Summerset, officiating. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
