Obituary For Zander Trayvon JMeer Whatley

On Monday, April 29th, 2024, Zander Trayvon Jmeer Whatley unexpectedly transitioned into eternal rest. Zander was born on May 11th, 2012. Zander was a 5th Grade Student at Hal Hutchens Elementary School where he was a proud member of the Student Council. He also received some education in the Polk School District (Rockmart, Ga). Zander played soccer, baseball, and one season of football last year. Zander loved the Lord, singing, TikTok, school, his family, and his friends.

Zander leaves his precious memories to his parents Shareeda (William) Dorsey and Jermaine Whatley. Zander leaves behind four sisters: Amiyah, Tadasha, Wryleigh, and Wraygan. His brothers: Zabrion, Javin, Jemarion, Zavian, JTayvious, Wrylin and Wryan; stepbrothers: William Jr., Nehemiah, and Abraham. He leaves a great grandmother Minnie Alexander and grandparents: Hope Wilson, Paul (Sherry) Alexander, Glenda Brazile, and William (Marjorie) Dorsey. His Godmother- Shanterria Birt. His aunts: Akuria(Darante), Erica(Ed), Natasha(Rodney), Quanittee(Kenny), Brittany(Dadrian), Tosh, Stacey, and Whitney(Rick); Uncles: Tifton(Maria), Kinta(Francine), Roy(Raya) and Berry(Bri) Wilson, Jr.. Zander was the proud Uncle of one niece, Emryn Hope. Zander also leaves behind a plethora of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Classmates and Friends.

Zander was preceded in death by his Uncle Zabrion “Pooh” Woolfork, Grandfathers Roy Borders and Berry Wilson, and his Great-Grandparents.

Zander Trayvon JMeer Whatley, age 11, of Douglasville (GA) transitioned April 29, 2024. Services for Zander will be Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2 pm at Rockmart High School Gymnasium. Zander will lie in state at Rockmart High School Gymnasium from 1 pm until the funeral hour. Interment will follow the service at Rosehill Cemetery (Rockmart).

*Public viewing will be Friday, May 10, 2024 from 12 noon until 6 pm at 212 E Elm St. in Rockmart, Ga. and Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1 until the funeral hour and Rockmart Gymnasium prior to the Celebration.

*FLOWER DELIVERY: Flowers can be delivered Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11am until 6pm at 212 E. Elm Street, Rockmart, GA 30153.
