OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Miss Chanterria Albert, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Macky”, 22, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Gerald Toussaint, Pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Macky was a member of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ. She was employed as a Deputy Sheriff with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff Department.
Macky’s memories are being cherished by: her mother, Cherika Albert and her father, Danny (Shannon) Francis, both of Opelousas, LA; maternal grandparents, Larry and Rosa Milburn of Opelousas, LA; eight sisters, Ambreshia Gordwin, Tristanie’ Albert, Kyrielle Charles, Kierra Charles, Shanique Francis, Kwendijah Owens, Dana Ambers and Shana Duriso, all of Opelousas, LA; her special nanny, Rechelle Milburn of Opelousas, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Macky is preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents, Earnest Carron and Mary Francis; two uncles, Donald Francis and Roland Francis; great aunt, Mary Thomas; and two special friends, Traviona “Minnie” Esprit and JaKyrie Clark.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
