Obituary For Geraldine Dorothy Warren

Geraldine Warren 83 of Stokesdale, NC passed Friday April 26, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 4, 2024, in the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC.

Geraldine Dorothy Warren, better known as “Mama” was born in Forsyth County on May 17, 1940 to Michaux McTerry Brooks and Dorothy Mae Brooks. Geraldine transitioned on Thursday, April 24, 2024.

Geraldine attended McLaughlin High School in Summerfield, NC and attended Winston Business School in Winston Salem, NC. She worked at the Oak Ridge Military School in the Food Service Department. “Mama” enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and great-grand kids.

Geraldine Dorothy Brooks was formerly married to Ernest Lee Warren and from this union three children were born. Edward Gerard Warren, Diane Lynne Warren, and Michaux Thomas Warren.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Edward G. Warren Sr. of the home, Diane Lynn Mitchell (Greensboro, NC), Michaux Thomas Warren of the home, her aunt; Mary Price of Belews Creek, NC (107 years old), ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

“Mama loved to cook and watch her favorite TV shows with anyone who came to visit her.
