Obituary For Geneva Yvette Broadnax

Geneva Yvette Broadnax, 45 of Stoneville, NC passed Sunday, April 28, 2024. Public viewing will be held at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC, Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends, Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Holiness Church, 703 Mt. Carmel Street, Madison, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Sandy Ridge, NC.

Geneva Yvette Broadnax was born May 25, 1978 to Alberta Finnie and the late Willie T. Broadnax, Jr. at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. She was a Class of 1996 graduate of McMichael High School.

Geneva attended ECPI and became a Cerfified Medical Assistant, which she greatly enjoyed, until a brief illness. She became our angel during the early morning hours of Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Left to cherish her memory is Alberta Swindler (mother), Corey (Lesly) Roberts, Anniesha (Frank) Grace, one uncle, McKinley (Julia) Finnie, six aunts; Jeam McCullough, Shirley Ziglar, Gerldine (Anthony) Roach, Betty Shearill, Pauline (BG) Stukes, Monica Broadnax, three great aunts, Mandy Reynolds, Patricia Hairston, Yomia Barham, one greatr uncle, Lynn Scales and a host of cousins.

Although I did not know Geneva well I found her to be a very caring person. She was interested in helping the patients and their family get the best medical care. Was at the office when news of her passing was received. Everyone there was in tears - shock. It was evident she was loved and respected by her colleagues. Condolences to her family. I'm truly at a loss for words. I don't think any of us (co-workers) really knew or understood the pain she must've been dealing with and worked through it. Geneva was a beautiful and kind person, even on those funky work days she always found something funny to say to lift you up... like LJ said, you could 100% count on her for a good laugh... even at her expense and I loved her for it. I can't even imagine walking into Fam Med and her not being there but I will cherish the memories I have of her. Geneva you always told me I was invited to the cookout, save me something good up there, you know what I like!

So sorry to hear the passing of Geneva. Geneva was a sweet soul she was always a kind person and friend when we attended school together.
