REBECCA SHANICE BEAMER-HICKS was born in Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Rebecca Beamer-Cannon and Anthony Hicks.
She received her formal education in the Harrisburg Public School System and attended Harrisburg High School William Penn Campus. During her working career, she was employed by the Bethel Healthcare Inc, as a loving and compassionate care giver.
At the age of two “Little Becky” as she was affectionately known, learned to call on JESUS, while watching and mocking her aunt Lori. By the time she was middle age she believes the plan of salvation according to, Romans 1:9-10 and believed in Jesus. Little Becky along with her grandmother Peanut, her Mother Becky and Dominque went down to the Susquehanna River on City Island to be baptized. What a glorious sight to see three generations being baptized into the Lord Jesus Christ. Little Becky loved the Lord from that day until her untimely death and was remembered as a church girl, who no matter what was going on in her life would find herself dressed up in her Sunday’s Best, going to hear the word of God, praise and worship the Lord and fellowship with other BELIEVERS OF FAITH.
“BECK BEAM THE UPTOWN QUEEN” was a social butterfly who loved cooking and doing her families hair and nails, at no cost, while joking and leaving her contagious laugh to echo throughout the entire house! Becky’s unique style of fashion set trends that were and will be unmatched, “NIKE DOWN TO THE SOCKS!!”
In 2013, Becky was blessed with GODS GREATEST GIFT to her, Kendell “BABY “ Beamer - Jones who she adored and loved wholeheartedly. Becky’s greatest accomplishment was bringing “BABY” into this world and giving her, her unconditional and unwavering love. “Baby” gave Becky purpose and she knew that she could glorify her through CHRIST!
Her life as a Harrisburg native was lived to its fullest until death invaded our ranks and removed from the walks of life. Becky will be remembered and celebrated for her beautiful radiant smile which touched the hearts and souls of the many people that she left a forever impression on.
