Mr. Gaines of Lakeland transitioned Monday, April 22, 2024. A visitation will be held at Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church - 1125 N. New York Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33805 Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow. Interment will the Celebration of Life at Oak Hill Burial Park - 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33815.

Chasio Ramon Gaines was born July 31, 1980 in Lakeland, Florida.

“Chase”, as he was affectionately known, was loved by all of his family and close friends. No matter the situation, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was employed for 3 years at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Omaha, Nebraska.

On April 22, 2024 he entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his mother: Janet E. Gaines; grandparents: Ada Simmons, Dorothy Williams, Lathon Gaines, Sr.; aunt: Sandra Cox and uncles: Roger Williams and Lathon Gaines, Jr. and brother: Timothy Neloms.

He leaves to cherish his memories his father: Jimmy “Dale” Gaines; siblings: Dr. Leslie Jones (Angelo); Latoya Neloms; aunts: Thelma Dennis, Adlissa Hyman; uncles: Herbert Cummings, Sr. (Minnie); Eddie Gaines (Faye), Henry Williams, James Gaines; niece: Octavia Neloms; nephews: Peter, Pierre and Giovani James (Victoria), Timmie Neloms; great nieces and nephews: Genesis, Paris, Dominique, Peter, Jr.; Jeremiah, Gianna and Legend James and host of cousins and friends.
