Obituary For Kelcey Collier

Mr. Kelcey Bernard Collier was born on January 28, 1969, to the late Ms. Betty Ruth Collier and the late Mr. Ed Lockett, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He was educated in the public schools of Thomaston and graduated from R.E. Lee High School. At an early age, he joined the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church.

In the year 2000, he moved to Atlanta for a better job opportunity. He met the love of his life, Charva Brown. They joined in Holy Matrimony on November 24, 2000. To this union, three children were born. He was a loving husband, devoted father and wonderful provider. They shared over twenty-three years together until his passing.

To provide for his family, he was employed by Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) as a professional bus operator. He was a dedicated and faithful employee for 17 years. He loved his MARTA family and passengers and he greeted everyone with a smile.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed and treasured time with his wife, children and family, watching football and basketball, grilling and playing with his grand-dog, Eno.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Znobbie Collier and Peggy Collier. On Tuesday, April 2nd 2024, the Lord summoned his spirit home. His sudden departure has saddened the hearts of his family and friends, but his memory will live on.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Charva Collier; three children, Ms. Enya Collier, Mr. Kelsey Collier, Jr. and Mr. Kendall Collier all of Hampton, GA; sisters and brothers include, Mrs. Beverly Drake, Mr. Timothy (Ceretha) Collier and Ms. Denise Lockett all of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Maurice (Bennie) Collier of Chattahoochee Hills, GA, Mrs. Susan (Carl) Trice of Hampton, GA; two brothers and sister-in-law, Mr. Kenyun (Belinda) Brown of Locust Grove, GA and Mr. Stephen Williams of Atlanta, GA; his grand-dog, Eno; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
