Obituary For Willie L. Dewberry

Willie L. Dewberry’s earthly journey started on November 11, 1958, in Norway, South Carolina. He
was a bundle of joy delivered unto the late Mr. Willie Andrew Dewberry and Mrs. Martha Anthony Dewberry. He attended Northfield School in Norway, South Carolina. At the age of 10 his family relocated to Concord, Georgia and he attended Pike County Consolidated School.

He learned the skill of brick masonry as a young man with his father and worked various jobs. Later in life, he started his own trucking company named Barbara and Dewberry Trucking. He spent 30 years in the trucking business.

He will be remembered for his love of horses and being the life of the party. He always wanted to be a cowboy and a good steward over his money. He loved his family and was a good provider. He was known for speaking his mind. He was an avid spade player, and loved his cocktails and playing the dice game. He also loved communicating to his Lord through Prayer. He attended Mount Hope Baptist Church with his companion, Ms. Barbara Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Dianne Dewberry Britt. Willie’s life journey ended on April 6, 2024, in Zebulon, Georgia. Willie’s transition saddened us but he left us many memories that will live on in the hearts of his
