I'm not sure how to start when it comes to Mary Lou. Words alone is not enough to express the love and compassion she had for me. My personal experience with Mary Lou began when I was having the most difficult time in my life. I was trapped in an environment that was literally killing me. Mary Lou was so qifted and anointed with the word of God. She would minister to me as if she knew everything was God's purpose and that eventually everything was going to be alright. She use to feed me God's word no matter what was going on. She made time for me because I was suffering as a result of mistreatment. She was quit to open up the Bible. So I knew what to expect each and every time I went to visit her and my dear friend Tequila. I use to play the violin for Mary Lou. She loved when I played for her too. I loved when she cooked lol. Even though time changes, people eventually move on in life. Well, I have never stop thinking of Mary Lou and the care she provided for me and my family. Last but not least, she raised a remarkable young woman who happens to be her wonder daughter and my close friend. Tequila your mother is extremely proud of you and the way you turned out to be. I honestly feel she is at peace especially knowing you got this. I love you Mary Lou. RIP Perry Westmoreland

Auntie where do I begin? I'm so glad to have said you are my family. You always kept me grounded and upbeat anytime we seen each other. I can name more than one occasion where I needed you and you came through for me even if it was just to talk. You was an amazing woman. I love you forever auntie Mary ❤️ your Mel

🕯️ I met Mary a few years ago when Kee and I planned a business trip to Dallas, TX. 🕯️ Kee, being the organized person that she is had preboarded online whereas I had not. To make a long story short, Mary drove or May I say dashed me & Kee to the airport and Kee was able to board but I was not because I had not prepared... the gates closed and I sadly walked outdoors to get back in the car 🚙 with Mary. Keep in mind I didn't know her. Mary said, "Girl get in the 🚙, you ll be ok and she dashed off." She talked to me all the way back encouraging me that it would ok as she drove me back to my car. Mary was a ray of sunshine ☀️. She knew how to make you feel wonderful..She exuded with such warm energy 💕that I asked her if she could be my mom. She laughed and replied, "Yes, I'll be your mom." When I got out the 🚙 she gave me a really big, warm hug 🤗 and made me feel everything was ok. I only met Mary once yet she made me feel welcomed and loved. ✨💕✨Mary's love lives on in me and in her daughter Kee. I'm honored to have met such kind souls. This 🌏 world needs more loving souls like Mary. May Gods peace and blessings continue to be upon the family. Mary's adopted daughter ~ Dr. Jaide Brightly

Where do I begin? So many memories growing up in Holy Trinity with "Mary Baby" as she was affectionately called by her mom and others. She will be remembered by the community family as such a wonderful person with a great personality, having an infectious laugh, who loved and could dance(I remember the WOKS talent shows & the August birthday parties) & just having a good time. Our paths didn't cross much in our adult life, but whenever they did, it was just like old times reminiscing about Holy Trinity/Nobertville,the good times,the people and the things that had such a lasting impact in our lives, i.e., our parents,family, education,the community itself and most importantly, our faith! Rest well Mary Lou!
