Marla White-Briggs was born on February 24, 1958 in the District of Columbia, Washington. She was preceded in death by her late mother, Ida Sessions and her late husband, Charles Briggs.

Marla White-Briggs is survived by her loving son, Rondell White, daughter-in-law, Kizzy Myricks White, three grandchildren, Jordan Sage White, Rondell Rasaun White, Jr. and Miley Rose White.
