Mrs. Alezine “Lene” Burnside Lillie was born May 1, 1950. She was the daughter of the late George W. Burnside, Sr. and Willie Mae (Frank) Simmons. Mrs. Lillie departed this earthly life on March 15, 2015 after a brief illness at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Alezine was the devoted and loving wife of George Lillie. She attended Lincoln High School. Mrs. Lillie was currently employed with Truly Blessed Cleaning Services. She retired from Mary H. Wright Elementary School after 15 years of service. Mrs. Alezine was an active and faithful member of the Worship Center Church where she served on the Shepherd’s Care and Culinary Services. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her daughter, Miss Britteney Lillie; her two sisters, Emma M. Brown and Annie E. Brown; her three brothers, George W. Burnside, Freddy Brown Burnside and Johnny F. Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her sister, Betty J. Burnside. A Celebration of the Life of Alezine “Lene” Burnside Lillie will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Worship Center, 945 Canaan Road, Roebuck, SC. Pastor Sharome L. Gentry will officiate. Interment will in the Heritage Memorial Gardends.
