Obituary For Carl McClain, Jr

Carl Junior McClain, son of the late Carlton McClain and Essie Cofield McClain-Jones, was born on March 16, 1931, in Wake County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Transitions Life Care, Raleigh, North Carolina.

He was united in holy matrimony to the late Thelma Harris McClain for 54 years. To this union was born six children.

He attended Douglas Chapel AME Zion Church, Holly Springs, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda McClain

He leaves to cherish his memories; three sons Bobby (Nicole) McClain of Cameron, NC; Donnie (Diane) McClain of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Carlton McClain of Willow Springs, NC; two daughters Gloria (Rev. Walter) Garrett of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Janet (Reginald) Hinton of Raleigh, NC; Fifteen grandchildren, Eighteen great-grandchildren and Three great great grandchildren; One brother Eddie Lee McLean and brother in law William Edwards and a host of relatives and friends.

Public Viewing: 3:00 - 5:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2024, at Douglas Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church in Holly Springs, NC 27540.

Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2024, at Douglas Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church, 201 Douglas Chapel Street in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
