Obituary For Johnny Lee Adams, Jr.

The funeral services of the late Mr. Johnny Lee Adams, Jr. ,who departed this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Reverend Forster L. Evans, Jr. will deliver the Eulogy.

Mr. Johnny Lee Adams, Jr. was born on January 16, 1961 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. Johnny Lee Adams, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Russell Adams.

He was educated in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from Worth County High School in 1978. One of Johnny’s favorite past times was fishing. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his pet Boston Terrier, “Velvet”.

Johnny was employed with Kelly Manufacturing Company in Tifton, Georgia.

On April 2, 2024, Johnny heeded the Master’s call and gave up this busy walk of life.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories of love his devoted wife, Jackie H. Adams; three stepchildren, Dexter Armstrong of Tifton, Georgia, Wilbur Hope of Albany, Georgia, Frederick Armstrong of Sylvester, Georgia; a host of step grandchildren; his loving mother, Dorothy Mae Adams of Poulan, Georgia; a brother, Willie J. Jones of Sylvester, Georgia; his sisters, Leatrice (Charlie, Jr.) Tyler of Poulan, Georgia, Peggy Byrd of Ashburn, Georgia, Loretha (Anthony, Jr.) Bivens, Shirley (Willie) Williams, both of Sylvester, Georgia, Michelle Adams of Poulan, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Chris Hope, Sally Moate, both of Sylvester, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Charles (Mary) Hope, Michael Hope, both of Sylvester, Georgia; aunts, Gloria Hope of Poulan, Georgia, Sallie Tunstall of Lake Wales, Florida; uncles, Alfonson (Mildred) Hope of Sylvester, Georgia, Ulysses (Annie Ruth) Jones of Rochester, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
