George Manning Olley SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. George Manning Olley, 79, peacefully entered rest on Saturday, November 1, 2014. George was born on September 19, 1935; he was the son of the late Manning and Alice Montgomery Olley. Mr. Olley was the husband of Mrs. Shirley Long Olley. George was retired from Spartanburg County School District 7, Spartanburg High School after more than twenty-five years of service. Left to cherish fond memories are: his devoted spouse of 52 years, Shirley; his loving children, Mary Alice Williams, Elizabeth 'Kitty' (Jeffery) Goforth, Lisa (Timothy) Wilburn, Lacey (Rennie) Davis, Tracey Olley, Ricky (Lisa) Long, Bobby (Denise) Olley, George (Rollette) Olley, William Olley and Jamie (Cynthia) Olley; his loving sister, Floree Parks; his cherished twenty-five grandchildren; his treasured fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Olley was predeceased by his cherished grandchildren, Jeffery 'J.R.' Goforth, Jr. and Brittany Shaniece Goforth; and his loving siblings, Lore Olley and Walter Cannon. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Goforth, Sr., 1310 Springfield Road, Boiling Springs, SC. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
