Ethel Mae Ferguson SALISBURY, NC-- Ethel Mae Ferguson, 68, departed this life on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Mrs. Ferguson was the daughter of the late Mr. Otis Ferguson and Queen Esther Ferguson. She was a native of Spartanburg County, SC. Mrs. Ferguson was a Lincoln High School Graduate, Class of 1964. She furthered her education at Friendship College where she earned an Associate Degree in Sociology. Mrs. Ferguson also earned an Associate Degree in Psychology at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Harrison Grove Baptist Church of Walnut Grove. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Lisa Olgesby of NC; her sisters, Janie Ferguson, Ellaree (John) Shands, Rachel (Lonnie) Fair, Barbara (Willie) Ladson, Christine Ferguson all of Moore, SC; her brothers, Rev. O.C. (Willilee) Ferguson of Moore, SC, Rossie Ferguson of East Spartanburg, SC and Charles Ferguson of Moore, SC; her three grandchildren; her ten great grandchildren; her special friend, Mr. Willie Caldwell of NC; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by: her sister, Shirley Peake and her brother, Odee Lee Ferguson. A Celebration of the Life of Ethel Mae Ferguson will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Harrison Grove Baptist Church, 299 Harrison Grove Church Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. The Reverend O.C. Ferguson will officiate. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
