Obituary For Timothy D. McClain

Mr. Timothy D. McClain, 41, entered into rest Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his residence in Grovetown, GA. Timothy was born in Augusta, GA on August 25, 1982.

After graduating from Butler Comprehensive High School in 2001, Timothy furthered his education by receiving degrees from Alabama A & M University and Augusta University.

β€œCoach Mack,” as Timothy was affectionately known, served as a devoted educator and coach for eighteen years in the Richmond and Jefferson County School Districts. He was a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Timothy will be fondly remembered by his wife, Kellar McClain of Grovetown, GA; sons, Timothy I. McClain of Hephzibah, GA and Tristan A. McClain of Grovetown, GA; parents, Holice Sr. and Truenella McClain of Hephzibah, GA; father-in-law, Leon Hawes of Augusta, GA; mother-in-law, Alice (Dr. Donald Evans) Hawes of Evans, GA; brothers, Holice McClain Jr. of Augusta, GA and Darrel McClain of Hephzibah, GA; one sister-in-law, Keyaunice (Antonio) Baldwin of Grovetown, GA; nieces, Nydaria McClain of Montgomery, AL and Pilar McClain of Hephzibah, GA; nephews, Tavonte Hawes of Evans, GA and Curtis Johnson Jr. of Grovetown, GA; one great niece, Makayla Clark of Montgomery, AL; and a host of truly beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Road Evans, GA. Rev. Dr. Philip Dunston of Friendship Ministries will serve as the eulogist. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. 30906. (706) 790-8858.
