Obituary For Charles Earl Dalton

Charles Earl Dalton, 73 of Mayodan, NC passed Monday, March 18, 2024. Public viewing will be held, Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends, Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Mary D. Perry Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at MartinView Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, located on Beaver Creek Rd., Mayodan, NC.

Charles Earl Dalton, age 73, of Mayodan, NC received his heavenly wings on March 18, 2024. Charles was a faithful and dedicated servant of our Lord and Savior as he was a longtime Deacon at New Testament Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Charles was born on November 8, 1950 to Hunter and Mary Lee Dalton in Sandy Ridge, NC. Charles attended Madison-Mayodan High School and was a graduating member of the Class of 1970.

Charles met and married his wife, Dorothy Lowe Dalton at Charles Drew High and from this union four children was born, Charles, Jr., Glenn, Donna and Doris.

Charles retired from Culp Ticking after 32 years of service. His favorite activities and hobbies included: gardening, spending quality time with family and friends, watching westerns, baseball and football. GO YANKEES!! Charles mostly enjoyed molding and challenging young minds.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Hunter and Mary Lee Dalton, son, Charles Dalton, Jr., brother, Michael Dean Dalton and sister, Janice Carter.

He is survived by his wife; Dorothy Dalton, children; Glenn Dalton (Janet), Doris Velasquez and Donna Searcy (James, Jr.), brothers; Troy Dalton (Robin) and Daniel Dalton (Sandra). Sister; Geraldine Dalton, brother-in-law, George Carter and sister-in-law, Shirley Dalton. Grandchildren: Brittany Martin (Keenan), Markel Dalton (Abby), Ashley Searcy, Shanita Velazquez and Nyreco Graham (Nytashia). Great grandchildren; Korben, Kimora, Nyreco, Jr., Sha'Miyah, Za'riyah, Da'Niyah, Nyshawn and one great grandchild, Zy'Mirian along with special grandchildren, Imari Blackwell and Nya Hampton.
